1584/5/7/23 (T) Whistl UK Limited v International Distributions Services Plc and Royal Mail Group Limited

The case involves a follow-on claim for damages based on a competition law infringement decision made by Ofcom that Royal Mail had abused its dominant position in the market for bulk mail delivery services in the United Kingdom, contrary to: (i) the Chapter II Prohibition in section 18 of the Competition Act 1998; and (ii) Article 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.

A CMC took place on 21 December 2023. The hearing of the strike-out application made by the Defendants took place on 25 April 2024, and the Tribunal gave its ruling at the hearing. A second CMC was held on 26 April 2024. 

The claim was withdrawn by consent on 21 February 2025.
