Judgment of the Settlement Tribunal approving a joint application by the Class Representative and Twelfth Defendant for a collective settlement approval order, subject to the Case Management and Trial Tribunal's approval of the Class Representative's funding arrangement.
The settlement figure is £1.5 million, broken down into three parts:
(1) the damages sum of £1.12 million;
(2) the costs of the application for approval of the settlement, £100,000; and
(3) the costs generally of £280,000.
For the reasons set out in the Judgment, the Settlement Tribunal was satisfied that the terms of the settlement are reasonable and that the damages and costs sums are fair and reasonable.
