By order dated 14 September 2016, the President (acting in his capacity as a judge of the High Court) ordered that the Claimant pay into the Courts Funds Office security for costs totalling £830,000 in connection with action HC-2016-000513 Agents’ Mutual Ltd v Gascoigne Halman Ltd (this sum being in addition to the £500,000 security for costs ordered pursuant to the Order of Sir Kenneth Parker of 5 July 2016). This judgment explains the Court’s reasons for setting the payment at this level.
